Mission Statement

The Rosary Society of Notre Dame embraces our threefold ministry:

  1. To promote veneration of and devotion to our Blessed Mother through recitation of the Rosary and meditation on its Mysteries,
    2. To provide charitable service to the parish community, and
    3. To cultivate an active faith-based social/service network of multi-generational and multicultural membership in the Rosary Society.

We reinforce our spiritual mission at each meeting. Our opening includes the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of a decade of the Rosary. After a brief business recap, various speakers and entertainers are scheduled throughout the year followed by a variety of refreshments and baked goods. Future ministry and social events are discussed for input from our members during these meetings.

2019-2020 Highlights

Retreat: A half-day annual Morning of Reflection is being scheduled to enhance our individual spirituality. We will look within ourselves, in stillness and silence, setting aside deadlines and obligations that dominate our daily lives. The date and venue will be announced in the bulletin and on this webpage.

Christmas Party: This year’s popular and well-enjoyed annual event, will be celebrated at Jonathan’s Restaurant on Saturday, December 7th at 12pm. Members and guests are welcome to share an afternoon of Christmas cheer complete with good food, song, prize raffles, and our Winner-Take-Half drawing.

Annual Outing: We are hoping to visit Cormaria Retreat House located in Sag Harbor for our annual outing in the spring. We are awaiting the go ahead from the house and should know by the end of 2019.

Fundraisers: These events are conducted throughout the year to support the spiritual and service missions of Norte Dame parish.
