Teens In Action Summer

Service Trip July 11-15, 2018

“Teens In Action” has been partnering with St. Brigid’s Youth Ministry for over 10 yrs. providing opportunities for Teens to put their faith into action through a week of service.  Each year we stay at a  retreat center, go out each day and do service projects and then offer a retreat program in the evening.  This years projects include: working at a Soup Kitchen that serves approx 200 people including children, Homecoming Farm– a community organic garden where we will learn about the connections of caring for the earth and it’s impact on the quality of our lives & future generations.  This year we will be adding two new sites: HorseAbility – a therapeutic program for children & adults with special needs and Shoes For All in Albertson where we will be donating and processing shoes for the poor and working poor. Lastly, we will be visiting Sr. Mary Christine and hosting an Ice Cream Social for the Dominican Sisters.  Our Trip will conclude with a fun night at Adventure Land and a closing mass at the retreat house with all our families.
