Deacon Frank Kurre was ordained a deacon for the Diocese of Rockville Centre in 2013 and was assigned to Notre Dame Parish at that time. He moved into Notre Dame Parish in 1969 with his parents Frank and Trudy and brother Robert. Deacon Frank married his wife Francesca at Notre Dame Church in 1990 and they lived in East Meadow until 2000 when they moved back to the Parish. Deacon Frank and his wife have four children – Kristen, Frank, Lauren and Michael, and a son-in-law Nick (married to Kristen).Deacon Frank is a graduate of Notre Dame School, Chaminade High School, St. John’s University and the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception. He serves on the Board of Directors of Catholic Health Services of Long Island (our Catholic healthcare system) and is Chairman of its Compliance & Audit Committee. Deacon Frank also serves on the Board of Governors of St. John’s University, the Board of Advisors of Chaminade High School and the Board of Directors of the Institute for Catholic Schools. He is a member of Legatus and speaks periodically at Chapter meetings.
Deacon Frank serves as the Clergy Moderator for our Parish CYO programs and also works with the altar servers. He prepares couples for their weddings and baptisms of their children and presides at weddings, baptisms and wake services. He enjoys preaching at Masses and offering counseling. Deacon Frank is also a member of the Parish Finance Council.
