Caryn Flores Durkin has been a teacher and administrator in Catholic Schools for more than 30 years. At St. Gregory the Great, Mrs. Durkin taught seventh and eighth grade ELA, Literature and Social Studies and moderated the Student Council. She taught at St. Vincent dePaul and most recently, at Corpus Christi in Mineola. In addition to teaching grades six, seven and eight ELA at Corpus Christi, Mrs. Durkin served as Assistant Principal, Chair of the Junior High department and Chair of the Middle States Accreditation Committee.

At Notre Dame Parish School Mrs. Durkin served as the Chair of the Middle States Accreditation Committee, member of the Parish Safety Committee, and most recently as a member of the Parish Career Ministry. From 2001 through 2010 she was the Assistant Principal of Notre Dame Parish School and since then, Principal. Mrs. Durkin’s Master’s degree is in School Counseling and she was awarded a PD in Educational Leadership from St. John’s University.
