Mission Statement

The Rosary Society of Notre Dame embraces our threefold ministry:

  1. To promote veneration of and devotion to our Blessed Mother through recitation of the Rosary and meditation on its Mysteries,
    2. To provide charitable service to the parish community, and
    3. To cultivate an active faith-based social/service network of multi-generational and multicultural membership in the Rosary Society.

We reinforce our spiritual mission at each meeting. Our opening includes the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of a decade of the Rosary. After a brief business recap, various speakers and entertainers are scheduled throughout the year followed by a variety of refreshments and baked goods. Future ministry and social events are discussed for input from our members during these meetings.

2019-2020 Highlights

Retreat: A half-day annual Morning of Reflection is being scheduled to enhance our individual spirituality. We will look within ourselves, in stillness and silence, setting aside deadlines and obligations that dominate our daily lives. The date and venue will be announced in the bulletin and on this webpage.

Christmas Party: This year’s popular and well-enjoyed annual event, will be celebrated at Jonathan’s Restaurant on Saturday, December 7th at 12pm. Members and guests are welcome to share an afternoon of Christmas cheer complete with good food, song, prize raffles, and our Winner-Take-Half drawing.

Annual Outing: We are hoping to visit Cormaria Retreat House located in Sag Harbor for our annual outing in the spring. We are awaiting the go ahead from the house and should know by the end of 2019.

Fundraisers: These events are conducted throughout the year to support the spiritual and service missions of Norte Dame parish.

The Rosary Society News

“Joseph went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

Luke 2:4-5

The Society would like to wish all a healthy, Merry Christmas and Christmas season!

A huge thank you to all of the Rosarians who contributed to our Christmas Blessings. Your generosity was overwhelming! Together, we raised $1460 to support the needs of our parishioners during this Christmas Season through Social Ministry.

Special thanks to Deacon Harrison who shared his relationship with the Blessed Mother by relating his experiences through the lens of the Mysteries of her Rosary at our meeting last Sunday. Our reflection and meditation immediately after, on the birth of Christ from Mary’s perceptive left us once again in awe of Mary’s strength and her commitment to God.

Our next Rosary mass will be on March 14, 2021 at 12:00 pm. There will be a meeting immediately following in the church. Watch for updates in future bulletins.

Be well and stay safe.

The remainder of our mass and meeting schedule this year will fall on the SECOND Sunday of the month. Due to the social distancing requirement, the Rosary Society will not reserve pews at the 12 p.m. mass.

Please sit where you are most comfortable.
