Mission Statement

The Rosary Society of Notre Dame embraces our threefold ministry:

  1. To promote veneration of and devotion to our Blessed Mother through recitation of the Rosary and meditation on its Mysteries,
    2. To provide charitable service to the parish community, and
    3. To cultivate an active faith-based social/service network of multi-generational and multicultural membership in the Rosary Society.

We reinforce our spiritual mission at each meeting. Our opening includes the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of a decade of the Rosary. After a brief business recap, various speakers and entertainers are scheduled throughout the year followed by a variety of refreshments and baked goods. Future ministry and social events are discussed for input from our members during these meetings.

The Rosary Society meets on the first Sunday of each month at the 10:30am Mass, after which we will gather in the school cafeteria for the scheduled meetings during our 2018-2019 service year.

2018-2019 Highlights

Retreat: A half-day annual Morning of Reflection is being scheduled to enhance our individual spirituality. We will look within ourselves, in stillness and silence, setting aside deadlines and obligations that dominate our daily lives.

Christmas Party: This year’s popular and well-enjoyed annual event, will be celebrated at Pompeii Restaurant on Saturday, December 8th. Members and guests are welcome to share an afternoon of Christmas cheer complete with prize raffles and our Winner-Take-Half drawing.

Annual Outing: Our annual outing, this year, will be a day-trip to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Island in the spring.

Fundraisers: These events are conducted throughout the year to support the spiritual and service missions of the parish.

Always stay close to this Heavenly Mother, because she is the sea to be crossed to reach the shores of Eternal Splendour. – Saint Padre Pio, 1887-1968 AD

Save the Date!!

Our annual Christmas Luncheon will be held on December 7, 2019 at Jonathan’s Restaurant. It is located on Jericho Turnpike just west of Herricks Road. Please watch for further specifics.

We are working on the venue for the May outing. We will have all of the specifics by September. Reservations will be taken for our members starting in late September to early October. A non-refundable payment will hold each reservation. If there is additional seating left on the bus, reservations will be opened to the parish in November, also on a non-refundable basis. Please check your calendars in advance and mark the date once you have placed your deposit. This no refund policy is necessary to keep the cost of the trip as low as possible for all attendees. Thank you for understanding. We hope all can attend! We continue to wish everyone a safe, peaceful, rejuvenating, and blessed summer!

See you in September!

Rosarians are requested to sit in the reserved pews at the front of the church on meeting Sundays.
